Our method
How We Tested
We built and tested the reader on real Block Blast screenshots. For each test, we compared what the solver read with the real board, square by square, and checked the three pieces the same way. The main thing to watch for is a screenshot with a pop-up, banner or animation covering part of the board or the tray pieces. When the reader gets something wrong, you can see it and fix it with one tap before solving. That's why every answer shows you the board first.
Step by step
What the Test Looked Like
- We used real phone screenshots of Block Blast in the classic blue look, with different boards and different pieces.
- For each one, we looked at the screenshot ourselves and wrote down the correct board and the correct three pieces.
- We ran the solver on every screenshot and compared its reading with our answer, cell by cell and piece by piece.
- To check the board a second way, we ran a separate pixel test on every cell, one that does not use the solver's own grid finder. The two agreed on every cell.
- Then we made different copies of the same screenshots: smaller and larger sizes, heavier JPEG compression, darker and brighter, less contrast, and a little blur. The tray pieces were still read correctly.

Do I need to check the board before solving?
The solver shows you the detected board and pieces first, so you can confirm everything at a glance. If you want to change anything, just tap it. Then press solve.
Does it work with different Block Blast looks and themes?
It reads the board and pieces from the picture itself. Our tests so far use the classic blue look, and we keep adding more. If your game looks different, send us a screenshot and we will add it to our tests.
Are the answers correct once the board is confirmed?
Yes. Once the board and pieces match your game, the solver checks every position and every piece order to find the best move.
